Aspiring to be a Fashion Designer?
Now you can with the new Project Runway game for Wii! Although I don't own a Wii, and really have no desire for one, I think this would be a fun game to try. You get to create and model designs for challenges - from designing the clothes to doing the models hair and makeup. Then use the Wii controls and balance board to strut the runway in front of the judges. You can also put on a photo shoot or just play a mini game in the Fashion Career Mode. I'm sure this game will please all you Project Runway fans who want to get in on the action.

Fab or Flop: Dove Nutrium Body Wash
I am always a fan of trying new products, so I decided to give Dove Nutrium Body Wash a chance for a few weeks. I normally am not a fan of Dove bath products; as a friend once told me "you're better off washing with dish soap." But having read a few promising reviews about their new nutrium moisture technology, I decided to give Dove a second chance. As a regular body wash, this was okay, but I wouldn't call it moisturizing. It has a fresh clean sent and a little goes a long way, but it always left me grabbing for my body lotion right after getting out of the shower. Unfortunately, I would have to say Dove Nutrium Body Wash is a Flop. I can't wait to finish the bottle and lather up with my old favorite - Olay Quench Body Wash.

Trends to Look For from Fashion Week
As always, Fashion Week sets some of the trends you will see this coming Fall. This year featured turtlenecks, capes, stylishly big pants, patchwork, shearling, velvet, belted layers and pleated minis. Some colors to make sure to add to your wardrobe are camel and winter white, and if your daring, graffiti patterns.
Turtlenecks will be a great new item to incorporate into your layering pieces; as well as capes and belts. I can't say I'm a big fan of baggy pants or patchwork, but if it looks great on you, go for it! However, I am excited for pleated minis. Don't wait until fall to wear a mini, ruffles are in for this Spring and you can score a great ruffled skirt from Express! The velvet reminded me of dresses I had as a little girl, but I did find a great velvet dress by Juicy Couture that I feel was a great addition to my closet.

Taking the Plunge . . .
So here it is. My first blog. After contemplating for a very long time whether or not I should start a blog, I finally decided, "why not!?". I always like to share my bargain finds, shopping tips, discount designer sales, and any other helpful tips or fabulous items I discover. I can't promise daily posts, but am excited to share my style and beauty knowledge. I have gained a lot of useful info from other blogs, and I always feel like I have something I could be sharing with all you fellow fashionistas out there! So enjoy, comment, and always feel free to ask questions!
